The UNITED NATIONS COMMISSION ON CRIME PREVENTION AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE (UNCCPCJ), established in 1992, addresses global crime challenges and promotes effective crime prevention policies. Technically, it develops standards and guidelines, facilitates international cooperation, and monitors trends in crime and justice. UNCCPCJ convenes annually in Vienna, gathering member states, experts, and NGOs. Its working includes drafting resolutions, organizing thematic discussions, and supporting capacity-building initiatives. Its relevance lies in fostering crime prevention strategies, combating organized crime and terrorism, and promoting justice systems that uphold human rights, contributing to global security and sustainable development goals.

 

Agenda: Discussion on Strengthening International Cooperation to Prevent and Prosecute Cyber Crime

This session will address strategies to enhance international cooperation in preventing and prosecuting cyber crime.
