From the Desk of Director
Dear Delegates & faculty members,
Today, we live in a world which is rife with technological change and a revolution in the field of education as digitalization has opened the portals of vast acquisition of knowledge and learning at the click of a mouse. The need of the hour is to empower the youth of today to take the onus of their learning and ensure its productive use. Such empowerment will contribute in checking the arms race, evading the unharnessed pride in power and drive away mutual conflicts from the face of the world.
We, at Blue Bells Model School, believe in providing such platforms to our ignited youth where they can look beyond mere looks and widen their horizons by deliberating on such International issues and draft policies.
To quote Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalaam, “The twenty-first century is about the management of all the knowledge and information we have generated and the value addition that we can bring to it.” The ignited youth of today is all set to work towards this change and add value to this fast-changing complex world. Through BBMUN we hope to provide a unique opportunity to the students to engage in productive dialogues and also develop strong bonds of friendship. The conference will draw attention not only to sensitive issues of social cohesion but also issues of global significance through different committees. Our sincerest endeavour will be to focus on concrete solutions and devise strategies towards a more positive and secure world.
I am sure this conference will be an enriching experience for all the delegates as they exchange innovative ideas and respond positively to their heart’s calling there by ushering in a ‘golden age’ full of hope and optimism. I sincerely look forward to offer a warm hospitality and unrelentless support in making this conference an incredible experience. I also extend my best wishes and greetings to all the delegates.
May this journey be a soulful empowerment for one and all.

At Blue Bells, we endeavour to form initiatives that promote the unfolding potential of the youth, through a process of constant self-exploration and self- evaluation, with a vision to realize. It is aided by inculcating a sense of community service, strong social values and high levels of participation in
governance. It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to be an integral part of an inspiring and thought-provoking conference, BBMUN 2019, with the theme of Blue Bells for World Peace. Mahatma Gandhi said, “Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny.” At
BlueBells, we stand for enabling the voice of students, and we believe that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can bring effective changes. We firmly believe that 2 days of deliberation at BBMUN 2019 will bring about a paradigm shift in the outlook of delegates towards world peace. Each of you represents the most dynamic and vibrant segment of our population, and through the platform of BB MUN 2019 all of you are in the unique position to steer the masses towards adjusting to new ideas and need for World Peace. This is a time for bold measures. This world demands the qualities of youth, a
state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination and a predominance of courage over timidity.
The team of BBMUN 2019 believe in the power of young people. I invite you to be the trustees, who wish not only to preserve the past but also nurture hope in creating a future to manifest the glory that is within each of us. We hope to see you all in September 2019. “We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.”
From the Desk of Chef De Cabinet
Pragmatism is an educational philosophy that says that education should be about life and growth. Two important elements of pragmatism include practical learning, which focuses on the real-world applications of lessons, and experiential learning, which involves learning through experience, not through simple ideas. An BBMUNer is very close to the concept. I admit students learn from their teacher in the classroom but at conferences,
students learn from each other. Such conferences will never replace the classroom teaching & learning but the conference complements the classroom. Students have to internalize what they learn in class and deliver that information through speeches, caucusing, and resolutions. Many critics say that organizing such events are jokes and further add that “MUN is F-U-N,” and here, I am glad to accept- it’s true – that’s why it works so well. Students attend Model UN conferences because it’s fun and full of learning-they just happen to learn something along the way. And remember when students have fun while learning, what they learn is more likely to stick and use as and when required. I firmly believe the active participation and engagement of delegates in the conference shall lend a Midas touch to the new learning experience and leave an inspiring influence on posterity.
With best wishes and a rewarding experience.

From the Desk of Secretary General
Dear Ambassadors, Diplomats and representatives,
I welcome you all to the fourth edition of Blue Bells Model United Nations Conference as the Secretary General of BBMUN’19 being simulated on
28th and 29th September 2019. It was rightly said by Neville Chamberlain that “The youth of a nation are the trustees of its posterity “. Though his ideals were much cherished, they are rarely pursued. “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, only then will the world know peace”. BBMUN stand for world peace, our theme is in compliance with the United Nations theme for 2019 “climate action for
peace”. The 9 committees will provide you with the opportunity to exhaust your wisdom, analyze your knowledge, dust the books, write new ones, create hope and change history. My years as an MUNer has developed my skills in confidence, spontaneity and leadership among all delegates for this is the best platform to master
our skills and become global citizens. I promise to stand behind each and every member of my team as they are the most marvelous secretariat you will meet in September. I also promise BBMUN 2019 will turn out to be an amazing experience with 2 days of intense deliberations and debates.
Looking forward to see you all in September 2019
From the Desk of Chief Advisor
It is with immense gratitude that I take upon the role of the Chief Advisor of Blue Bells Model United Nations 2019 and am exceedingly pleased and honored to invite you to our first interschool edition. I feel elated to present to all of you “BBMUN 19” with the theme BLUE BELLS FOR WORLD PEACE. Each one of you will bring laurels to your institution through your hard work, dedication and performance in the two days. More than laurels, you will indulge in practical learning which will set foundations for you in your future endeavours. Listed below are some pointers I would like to share with you. Hosting a conference with a singular theme to run throughout for each committee is an organizational nightmare but a conceptual necessity. The underlying theme “BlueBells for World Peace” goes beyond just simulating 9 committees. The central theme permeates into the mind of any and every delegate irrespective of whichever committee they may choose to participate in. If not for anything else, a central theme helps establish importance of world peace. Every agenda of each committee correlates to this central theme, so that each delegate of a delegation can contribute to the learning of another. Peer-to-peer learning and sharing of research will enable even the youngest to participate and excel.
All members of the Delegation can contribute in the creation of Position Papers of any committee, as each agenda is an aspect of the other, as well as part of the larger theme. Similarly, Background Guides or Briefs for one committee can aid the Delegates of another committee in their research as well, overcoming a challenge faced by MUNs for a long time.
The feedback given by an Executive Board can also benefit others and positively contribute to their understanding and performance. It is vital that you i seek feedback from the Executive Board. This feedback helps you improve in various aspects of this activity. All committees and their matrices are designed to ensure that no delegate is left silent during the debate, as all these countries and portfolios have a key role to play in the agenda, either as decision-makers or countries affected by the issue.
To ensure that all the participants have an enriching experience, we have interviewed and selected some of the most experienced, well-researched trainers and mentors for the students as the Chairpersons for each committee at BBMUN 2019. Every single action taken by us have the best interests of the Delegates at heart, as they will be carrying on the standard of leadership tomorrow. It is with immense gratitude that I take upon the role of the Chief Advisor of Blue Bells Model United Nations 2019 and am exceedingly pleased and honored to invite you to our first interschool edition.
